About Me:
Hi! My name is Isabella, and I'm a Brazilian American actor from southeastern Ohio.
I first fell in love with performance when I was a young kid, about to hit the double-digit milestone of turning ten, when I acted in a short film that eventually premiered in my hometown's historic movie theater, The Athena Cinema. Watching that story on screen made me feel the same rush of joy and adrenaline I had felt while making it, amplified by feelings of gratification, excitement, and a deep connection to both the people around me and something larger than myself. About a decade later, I fell in love with performing all over again, this time also on stage, energized by the electric presence of a live audience and the unique opportunity of inviting people to fully inhabit a story with me, experiencing and discovering its humanity together in real time.
I am a people person, which is one of the reasons I was drawn to performing as a kid and continue to adore it to this day. Collaboration is the backbone of performance, and it drives me through the joy and growth I find in exchanging ideas, shaping creative visions together, and learning from the perspectives of those around me. I value curiosity, intuition, and generosity in the work and feel most alive when exploring characters and stories that reflect the beauty, humor, chaos, and darkness of the human condition.
In addition to performing, I played soccer competitively for over a decade and have been an honors student for much of my academic life. Soccer, along with a deep curiosity and love of learning, has served me artistically by strengthening my specificity, adaptability, and stamina – qualities I consistently bring into creative spaces.
Currently, I'm pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performance with a focus in Acting at Ohio University. My work includes short films and stage productions, and I’ve performed with a treble choir and a competitive a cappella group. I’ve also assistant directed plays and served in a leadership position, Co-Coordinator of Community Outreach and Engagement, with Vibrancy Theater, Ohio University’s BIPOC-centered and led student theater.
In my free time, you can almost always find me binging TV shows, reading, cuddling my cat, and enjoying a good chai latte.
